Privacy

Short version: Inversa doesn't collect anything about you. There are no accounts, no cookies, no analytics and no ads.

What stays on your device

To make the app quicker to use, your browser keeps a few things in its own storage on your device:

• places you've added and any summit or valley heights you've changed
• the region you last picked and the hill you last looked at
• a copy of the latest forecast, so the app still works with no signal

None of this is sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Services the app talks to

Like any website, these services see your device's IP address when your browser contacts them:

• Open-Meteo, for the weather forecasts and the place search. It receives the coordinates of the hills you're viewing and anything you type into the search box. See Open-Meteo's terms and privacy information.
• Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces. See Google's privacy policy.
• OpenStreetMap and OpenTopoMap, which supply the map images when you open a map. They see which area of the map you're viewing. See the OpenStreetMap privacy policy.
• cdnjs (Cloudflare), which supplies the free Leaflet map library.
• The company that hosts this website, which keeps standard server logs.

Inversa never asks for your location. Share images are made on your own device and only leave it if you choose to share them.

Changes

If Inversa ever adds accounts, alerts or anything else that needs personal information, this page will be updated first.
